Welcome

Life is unpredictable. You take one step forward and it pushes you two steps backwards. You jump up and gravity pulls you down. But rather than stepping in opposition of the forces of life, why not step in sync with it? Learn to dance and move to the rhythm of life. Understand more about the strengths and resiliences you possess, develop new skills & discover a new way to perceive the world around you. My clients learn to become mentally flexible so that they can maintain their peace as they dip, swing and dance to whatever beat life throws their way.

ABOUT ME

I am a NY State licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in New York. I completed my undergrad education at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), earning my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I continued my education, earning my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY. I am a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) as well as a member of the NY chapter for Marriage and Family Therapists (NYAMFT).

I conduct individual, couple and family therapy and I work with children, adolescents and adults. I focus on the empowerment of my clients by placing them in the role of experts of their experiences. I lead with curiosity & respect, creating an open & safe space to have dialogue so the clients can discover their own strengths and resiliences, develop new skills and increase their confidence to navigate and manage the challenges of life.

My areas of focus include but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, family conflict, marital and premarital issues, and stress management.

FAQs:

HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?

My individual sessions lasts 45 minutes, couple therapy sessions lasts 50 minutes and family therapy lasts 60 minutes.

HOW MUCH DO SESSIONS COST?

Individual sessions cost $150 per session, Couple sessions cost $160 per session and Family sessions cost $175 per session.

WHY DOES THERAPY COST SO MUCH?

Average therapy sessions from a therapist in a private practice setting range upwards of $200 per session. Therapists must cover the costs to operate their practice (business insurance, marketing, tools and materials, office rent, etc.), maintain the costs of keeping their license active (renewal fees, CEU fees, etc.), and provide their own employment benefits that are not provided to those who are self-employed. If my fee is outside of your budget, still do not hesitate to contact me. If I cannot offer a price that you are seeking, I will be happy to provide you with resources and or referrals that better match your needs.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

I accept Unitedhealth Care, Oxford and Oscar health insurance.

WHAT ARE OUT-OF-NETWORK BENEFITS?

Insurance companies acknowledge that their in-network database cannot meet the need of demands for those seeking therapy thus, they offer out-of-network benefits. Based on your specific plan (e.g. deductible) the insurance company will reimburse you a portion or all of your fees after your sessions to make the cost of therapy more affordable for you.

DO YOU OFFER TELE-THERAPY SESSIONS?

Yes. At this time I am solely providing video sessions to persons living in New York State and New Jersey.

IS TELE-THERAPY SAFE?

Yes. I utilize a HIPAA-compliant software to conduct safe, confidential tele-therapy sessions. The client does not have to download anything to participate in the session. I send an email with a link that directs the client to the virtual session when they click it.

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.
