SESSIONS

HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?
Individual sessions are 45 minutes, couple therapy sessions are 50 minutes and family therapy are 60 minutes.


PAYMENT & INSURANCE

  • HOW MUCH DO SESSIONS COST?
  • Individual sessions: $200 per session
  • Couple sessions: $215 per session
  • Family sessions: $230 per session.

WHY DOES THERAPY COST SO MUCH?
Average therapy sessions from a therapist in a private practice setting range upwards of $200 per session. Therapists must cover the costs to operate their practice (business insurance, marketing, tools and materials, office rent, etc.), maintain the costs of keeping their license active (renewal fees, CEU fees, etc.), and provide their own employment benefits that are not provided to those who are self-employed. If my fee is outside of your budget, still do not hesitate to contact me. If I cannot offer a price that you are seeking, I will be happy to provide you with resources and/or referrals that better match your needs.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
At this time, I accept the following insurances: United Healthcare, Oxford Health Plans, Aetna, UMR, Oscar, UHC Student Resources, Optum Live & Work Well EAP, AllSavers UHC and United Healthcare Global

WHAT ARE OUT-OF-NETWORK BENEFITS?
Insurance companies acknowledge that their in-network database cannot meet the need of demands for those seeking therapy thus, they offer out-of-network benefits. Based on your specific plan (e.g. deductible) the insurance company will reimburse you a portion or all of your fees after your sessions to make the cost of therapy more affordable for you.

PAYMENT POLICY
All payments must be made at the time of service. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your service.


TELE-THERAPY

DO YOU OFFER TELE-THERAPY SESSIONS?
Yes. At this time I am solely providing virtual sessions to persons living in New York and New Jersey.

IS TELE-THERAPY SAFE?
Yes. I utilize a HIPAA-compliant software to conduct safe, confidential tele-therapy sessions. The client does not have to download anything to participate in the session. I send an email with a link that directs the client to the virtual session when they click it.


POLICIES

CANCELLATION POLICY
Appointments must be cancelled more than 24 hours in advance, except in emergencies or extenuating circumstances. I reserve the right to charge the full session fee for last minute cancellations or missed appointments.

CONSENT FORMS
Clients will be sent a digital consent form packet prior to their intake session. All forms must be reviewed and digitally signed before beginning the therapy process.
